Description
Here is a simple replacement cover I made to replace the missing ones in my Boxster Base. Note: There is no provision for activating the light as some models have. But hey, do you really want to pay upwards of $60 per side to replace what is, in reality, a simple plastic cover…. 😉
Made from 3D printed black ABS plastic.
Note:
- Your sun visor must have the two little nubs intact for these cover to attach and function as intended by the factory. (I have had customers use 2 small screws to hold them in place of the nubs that had broken off. It may work but it may not.)
- There is a slight friction fit on the cover.
Priced as a set of 2.
Installation Instructions:
- Remove your old covers.
- Insert one loop end of the new cover onto the little nub that protrudes from the visor.
- Gently flex or bend the new cover so that you can hook the other end into the other nub on the visor.
- Note: Sometimes (like in my case) both nubs are broken off my visor. I just put the cover on to cover the mirror and make it look nicer. One side fit fine with a slight friction fit, on the other side I put a small piece of black tape to make it a friction fit….

These were a perfect fit for what is obviously a issue with these cars. Installation was a breeze (5 min) and they look fantastic without having to purchase the entire visor from Porsche for 15 times the cost and far more work to install.

Easily installed. Nice upgrade from having no mirror covers but doesn’t fit flush into the groove

The description indicates that these will work even if the sun visor is damaged. That is not the case.

It states, “Note: These will still stay in place even if you have broken off one of the little plastic pins on the sun-visor. There is a slight friction fit on the cover.”

Pros: it is cheap compared to OEM parts. Cons: it is very cheap and it looks like it. Part fits the mirror cover but it is not a good match and does not have the curved shape like the original part. Would NOT recommend to buy.

Took a size 503 metal bar and ran it through the two loops. Punched two holes on the visor where the pegs used to be and slid the bar in. Pivots perfectly

The visors fit perfectly. The only problem is when you open the visor. The vanity light comes on when opened half way and turn off when it’s fully open. Other than that. I love them b
